Sometimes no matter the sincerity in which you approach a situation, people will not understand. No matter how badly you want them to believe in your good intentions, they just won't. You want them to believe that you are a good person, but how are they ever supposed to? They will not even attempt to get to know you further. You're caught in a circular cause and effect situation. There's no getting out, unless you forget it altogether.
Sometimes it may seem that you're always drawing the short straw, and it's most likely true. The way I see it life is unfair about 90% of the time, karma doesn't always work, and more often than you not, you bear a blow that was intended for something or someone else. There's no reparation, sometimes not even penitence. And the people who accept this fact in the best of manners, receive it the most.
So you fight it, as normal, human instinct. You continue to try to smooth things over, and you get to the point where you've done everything you can. You leave it up to the rest of the world.
Well, I'm leaving it.
